Erin Gordon was brought up in the small town of Ocala, Florida. She was fortunate enough to attend the Marion County Center for the Arts in high school where she took her first photography class. Her love for photography brought her two hours east to Daytona State College where she persued an Associate degree in Photographic Technology. This May she graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor degree in Photography. She has recently relocated to London to work on her MA in Fashion Photography from the London College of Fashion and will graduate December 2012.
Most notably, Gordon had four art pieces purchased by NBC Universal. The unique, custom paper dresses, which she constructed for her
Recycled Fashion series, were on display at the NBC Experience store April 20-22 as a part of NBC Universal's Green is Universal environmental initiative project to celebrate Earth Week 2011.
This past May, Gordon's work was displayed in the University of Central Florida Senior thesis show,
Synecdoches. This spring, her work was displayed in the
Portraiture 2011 gallery show and in a student-organized photography show at Sweet Marlay's Coffee Shop. Spring of 2010, she had work displayed in an invitation-only student UCF gallery show. In summer of 2009, she had work displayed in the Southeast Museum of Photography's
Departures IV show. Her work was shown again in the Southeast Museum of Photography's
Departure's VI show past coming summer at the Southeast Museum of Photography and the University of Central Florida Fine Arts Gallery.
In addition to having her work displayed at numerous venues, Gordon has also had her work published as well. Her work was published in the November 2010 issue of
La Vie Est Belle online magazine . In fall 2010, she received a first place award from the FCCAA State Publications Magazine divison A for work published in
Ole Magazine.
